CHARLES PEARS is a Student Oscars shortlisted, Royal Television Society Award winning writer/director from Leeds, Yorkshire.
With a focus on championing northern stories and creating bold new entrants into the genres he loves, he takes a unique and creative approach to the stories he moulds - aiming to tell deeply human tales in unconventional and unseen ways. His latest short film 'Alien Head' is currently in post-production, and stars 'Happy Valley' lead Rhys Connah.
Charles' graduation film, 'Tenebrous', was listed as a semi-finalist at the 49th Annual Student Academy Awards, and was the only film from outside North/South America in its category. The film later went on to win 'Best Drama' at the Royal Television Society Student Awards.
Charles is currently developing a slate of future projects, both concept shorts and features, within the genres he loves - including medieval folk-horror 'The Knyght'.
